Twigg, who is still the majority shareholder and a principal broker.  The company began on Pine Island, a small barrier island between Cape Coral and Sanibel/Captiva.  With the addition of Branon A. Edwards and Jelena Panfilova in 2007, the company expanded operations to Florida's East Coast, specifically the Broward (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) and Miami-Dade (Miami/Aventura/Sunny Isles Beach) real estate markets.

About Betty A. Twigg, Broker-Owner:
Betty moved to Galt Island, Florida from the Washington, DC area where she had a long career in public accounting; her first stint being with Arthur Young & Co (aka Ernst & Young). She remained in Washington, DC and suburban Maryland, continued her education and worked as a career businesswoman for almost 40 years.

In the capacity of CFO of a Washington, DC based general contracting firm, she was fortunate to have the opportunity to be involved with financial leaders, insurance institutions, appraisers, surveyors, construction contracts, and private, federal and state government-construction acquisitions.

Betty began her formal real estate career as an agent for a major international franchise organization and onward to broker associate.  After finding a gap in the proper servicing of local buyers and sellers, Betty formed Aqualand Realty, Inc. In addition to the real estate firm, she has invested in real estate personally including residential, farms and acreage, waterfront, recreational, commercial and industrial properties. She is well versed in the Southwest Florida real estate marketplace and continually updates her knowledge of the surrounding areas.  She enjoys every aspect of investing in real estate, working with buyers and sellers, assisting with mortgages, and cooperating with other brokers.  Each transaction must be successful and that does not mean simply closing. It means that both the buyer and seller are happy and believe that their major investment turned out well.

About Branon A. Edwards and Jelena Panfilova:
Branon A. Edwards joined Aqualand Realty, Inc in 2007 as a Broker and partner.  His wife, Jelena Panfilova, also joined the firm initially as a Broker-Associate in 2007.  Branon and Jelena were a very successful real estate team on Florida's East Coast with another major international franchise organization.  They saw an incredible opportunity in Aqualand Realty, Inc to expand their market reach and increase the level of individual service to their customers.
