acres.

in an area that is just beginning to take off.

Gated residential subdivision.
Market Insight:
Bonita Bay Development Group has been buying up property from
Clewiston to Fort Myers anywhere near Palm Beach Boulevard, which is
SR-80 that goes across the state to Palm Beach from Fort Myers.
Bonita Bay Group just purchased 5,000 acres in the area, near this
property with the intention of creating a new 'city' of residential,
mixed use, and commercial properties..
In addition, the state's largest Century 21 franchise is building a new
office right on SR-80 in LaBelle, which provides some indication that
forecasts for the area are quite positive.
As buyers look for alternatives to Naples, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers,
and Punta Gorda, Hendry County and Labelle specifically, will become
more attractive.

Economy
Since the 1940’s the county’s economy has been primarily driven
by citrus, oranges, tangerines, grapefruits and vegetable farms.
Currently, Hendry
County has approximately 15 million citrus trees.
Prior
to the 40’s,Hendry County was made up of numerous cattle ranches. Due
to
the influx of retirees to Florida population has increased
thereby
resulting in a need for more housing. Many of Florida’s farmers
have
chosen to sell their farms to investors and developers.
